Walmart has been known around the world as one of the largest and most popular retail stores. The variety and volume of what they sell has made them a global brand. But they are also known for attracting all kinds of people, even those that are eccentric and what some would call odd.
Recently, there has been a trend of pictures of peculiar and interesting pictures of strange people in and around Walmart stores. These are ordinary people, but there something about them that sets them apart. So much so, that they have coined the online term “Only in Walmartâ€.
Low Waist
There used to be a fashion fad in the 90’s that had young men wear their pants low on their waists. But this guy decided to sport this style with a tight tank top tucked into his blue shorts/pants. It doesn’t quite work as well.
Tall Tail
Here we have what seems to be an ordinary Walmart shopper. That is until you take a step back and realize that he has a tail, a fox-tail to be exact. This could be a costume or a strange fashion statement. Either way, it doesn’t make sense.
See the Signs
Here we have a woman with a very angry neon sign that is probably best viewed on the road. She probably wears this as rides on a motorcycle to the delight of motorists that she encounters.
Burnt
When showing some skin, you want to make sure that you don’t expose any sunburn or overexposed skin. Or at the very least, bring someone with you with the same skin tone so that your burns don’t look that bad.
Product Placement
This Walmart shopper wanted a pair of Uggs boots so much that she decided to just tape a sign on her shoes and pretend that they were in fact the shoe brand. If only saying it made it so.
I Can’t Feel My Face
Given that it can get pretty hot in some areas, we can overlook the skimpy and undersized clothing. But why would you go to Walmart with (what we assume is) your beauty face mask still on.
Miracle on Aisle 5
Here we have meme that captures a supposedly “disabled” woman miraculously standing up on her electronic wheelchair to get a few products from the top shelf on the store. With that much leg strength, why need the wheelchair?
Who Let the Dogs Out
This Walmart shopper decided to bring all three of her dogs along with her for her shopping chores. Either that or Walmart is now offering pets by the shelf in their stores.

Here we have what looks like a group of people using motorized wheelchairs in a single file. Maybe they thought they could go faster with a streamlined formation?
Daddy Knows Best
Here we have a father daughter-pair out for day at the local Walmart. Dad decided to wear some psychedelic tights on this day, and he didn’t stop there. He also decided to wear short shorts over them, to cover up the merchandize, we’re guessing.
Momma’s Day
This mom decided to take a break from pushing the children around in the cart and decided to switch roles. But I’m pretty sure she’ll let her son take a turn riding the cart after a few minutes.
Cut off Jeans
There’s a new sensation called cut off jeans where there jeans are either torn at the knees or torn off completely as shorts. This fashion statement is somewhere in between but we have a feeling that it won’t catch on.
Mascot Family
This family decided to go to Walmart and take advantage of the low prices on mascot heads because… mascot heads are cool? A family that’s weird together stays together.
Open Toe
At one point, you just have to give up on your favorite pair of shoes and just buy a new pair of sneakers. But what’s even weirder with this picture is that she’s actually also wearing cut off socks.

It looks like grandpa decided to wear whatever was laying around the house to go to Walmart for a bit of shopping. Either that, or grandma has some awesome beard growing skills.

This young lady decided to get a pet and a hair accessory all in one go. While it is a unique look, it may cause some problems when your edgy hair clip decides to go to the bathroom on top of your head.

Having a pet turtle is absolutely normal. And bringing it to Walmart makes some sense. But then attaching a leash on it is where it gets a little questionable.

Here we have a handicapped man who decided to take along his pet ferret along with him for the ride. I guess the Walmart is a good a place as any to show around your ferret.

When it comes to body type, there is no good or bad one. But you should also learn to dress smart so you can highlight your strengths and hide your less flattering features.

This Walmart shopper decided to fight his receding hairline and keep a patch of hair growing for as long as he can. At least he didn’t tie it or braid it for the all too comical bald rat-tail look.
Baby Monkey
There are some loose rules in any Walmart about the pets that you can bring along. But carrying a monkey in a blanket as you shop is pushing it a little bit.

Much like any store with a selection of clothes, all Walmart shops have dressing rooms. But this customer had no time for such contraptions and decided to disrobe in the middle of the store.
Keeping Cool
One way of keeping cool is to enjoy cold snacks and beverages. Or you can do what this man did and lay down in the cold food section and covered himself with a selection of chilled meats.
Taking the Plunge
Walmart offers so many products and supplies that you don’t have to go anywhere else. You can also have fun with the supplies and products instead of going to a playground, like these “adults” did on these pictures.
Glam and Glitter
Most of the people that we’ve featured in this list are dressed casually, with some almost too casual. But not this lady. She chooses to shop in full formal glam attire, complete with glitter makeup.

You have to give it to this Walmart shopper, not only did she choose to have her hair dyed blue (unless it’s a wig) but she also decided to shop in an all-blue pajama outfit.

While there are some kids that have made adorable and hilarious choices of playing with the wrapper that the toy can in instead of the toy, handing a hazardous plastic bag (where she could suffocate) to a child should be where the line is drawn.
