Celebrities spare no expense when it comes to their luxurious lifestyles... and why would they?

From expensive cars and designer clothes, to lavish yachts and unique collectibles, celebrities seem to really have it all. While money may not buy happiness, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to be able to experience the world as a celebrity does.

Here we've compiled some of the most over-the-top purchases celebs and the like have made over the years. Some of these are sure to knock your socks off...

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs commissioned the building of his yacht, Venus, to Phillippe Starck for around $118 million. The ship was built to resemble the sleek elegance of the Apple brand. Sadly, Jobs passed away before ever getting to set sail.

Kim Kardashian

It comes as no surprise that Kim K has a golden toilet, however, the bigger surprise is that she has two, and that they cost $750,000. Her gold-plated toilets are just one of the many things that make you go, "hmmmmm..."

Justin Bieber

This purchase was probably one of the more relatable things the Biebs has done in his life. He dropped $100K on a custom Batmobile, an extravagant yet somewhat understandable purchase.

Daniel Radcliffe

We spend a lot of time in our beds throughout the course of our lives, so for that reason alone, this purchase by Danielle Radcliffe seems more understandable. He spent $17,000 on a new mattress.

Lady Gaga dropped $50,000 on a "ghost detector" device after becoming concerned that her house was haunted. Jokes on her though, because the scariest thing about this whole ordeal was the price tag.

Michael Jackson

In 1985, Michael Jackson purchased the rights to the Beatles discography for $47.5 million, which caused quite a stir at the time. He was close friends with McCartnery prior to this... guess buying your friends music out from under him isn't a great look.
