Why don't oysters share their pearls?
They're shellfish!

Did You Know?
Oysters create pearls as a defense mechanism when irritants like sand get inside their shells. They coat the irritant with layers of nacre (mother-of-pearl) over time. Only about 1 in 10,000 wild oysters naturally produces a pearl, making them truly precious treasures worth being "shellfish" about!
