Morgan Freeman's voice is powerful enough to make people do anything—and that includes getting vaccinated.
The Bruce Almighty actor is speaking up in a new PSA from the Creative Coalition, encouraging people to get inoculated against COVID-19.
"I'm not a doctor, but I trust science. And I'm told that, for some reason, people trust me," Freeman said. "So here I am to say I trust science and I got the vaccine. If you trust me, you'll get the vaccine."
"In math, it's called the distributive property. In people, it's called taking care of one another," said Freeman, 83. "Get the vaccine. Help make our world a safe place for us to enjoy ourselves again. Please."
"This is your shot," he added.
This past Tuesday, the CDC reported that over 62.4 million Americans, or 18.8% of the population, had been fully vaccinated. Despite the rising numbers, people are still wary of the vaccine, and the Biden administration has recently announced its efforts to launch a widespread public awareness campaign involving 275 organizations.
