Amazing DIY Bathroom Remodel You Can Do Yourself!

The Start of Renovation

Before…

Before Renovation

It has to go!

During Renovation

Time for a change!

A Different Angle Before Renovation

Removed a protruding wall which served as a closet. Of course the back wall wasn’t level with the the adjoining wall. Had to build out the studs and re-drywall to make it even.

Another Look At The Bathroom

Tub day. It fits!

New Tub Installed

Went with a simple surround which works well here.

One Step Closer

Laid down Schluter Ditra membrane.

New Floors

Tile down. These were big but it went pretty fast.

Out With The Old In With The New

New window installed.

New Window Looking Wonderful

The cabinets and tub removed using saws, hammers, and pry bars.

Laying Tile

Wall tile. This took a while.

Coming Together Nicely

Tile in, need to grout.

Grout Is Complete

Grout done. Loving the look.

Beautiful Shelves

Built matching shelves in the new closet space. I used plywood as a base and attached “floating floor” material to them. This allowed me to use the matching wooden threshold as a faceplate. Wasn’t quick but certainly easier than with wood and trying to match the stain.

Last Electrical Steps

Final electrical move.

Look How Wonderful It Came Out

All done.
